It’s riddle time.
See if your savvy brain can solve this one:
5 frogs are sitting on a
log. 4 of the frogs decide to jump off. How many frogs are left?
So…
What’s the answer? How many frogs are left on the log?
If you said 5, you’d be right.
And here’s why:
Deciding to do something and actually doing
it are as different as night and day.
In fact, I’d go so far as to say that until you’ve jumped off the log, you haven’t decided to jump at all.
You may intend to jump. You may have told yourself you’re going to jump. You may have even lowered one of your green, slimy, hairy legs off the log, ready to
spring into action with your other equally green, slimy, hairy leg.
But this isn’t jumping.
No sir! No madam!
The decision is the action. Not the intention.
There’s all the difference in the world between intending to change career, or learn a new language, or start a new hobby, or go travelling for 9 months, or kickstart a new habit…
And actually doing it.
So what causes this gap? Why do people not do the things they want to do or intend to do?
To my mind, it comes down to one word:
Fear.
The fear of failing. The fear of being
judged. The fear of being wrong. Maybe even the fear of being right.
And if fear of taking the plunge is stopping you doing the thing you know, deep down,
you really want to do, one thing which has helped me (and may also help you) is this:
Realising that life is not in our control.
Life is pretty much always changing, full of unknowns and most people are making it all up as they go along anyway.
So you can live your life two ways.
You can either spend your time and effort trying to control and manage your fear (and, in turn, control and manage every aspect of your life).
Or you can get more comfortable with knowing that life is one, big, fun, jumbled mess of unknowns, and spend your time and effort simply living and doing what feels right. Even though you feel some fear too.
Option 2 might require a shift. And I know this shift might be tough.
I find it tough myself.
But I know it’s a helpful shift. I know that seeing things differently – even seeing yourself differently – is a great way to press play on parts of
your life that are on pause. And a great way to follow what your heart is telling you.
So when I heard that my friend Ocean Kiani (yes, this is her real name) is running an online program designed to help people get moving and do the things they really want to do, I knew I needed to share it.
The program is called Unfold.
Unfold uses a range of tools like movement, improv, play and mindfulness to help you develop a sense
of calm, move you out of your head and into your body, and get you from “doing” mode to “being” mode.
Ocean strongly believes in bringing more movement, play and fun into
our adult lives, which is why she created the program.
And you know what? I think Ocean’s program sounds frickin’ awesome.
Which is why I wanted to share it with you.
If you want to check it out, here’s the link:

Now, you might be wondering how much this program costs.
When I chatted with Ocean, I thought she’d say the price would be at least $1,000.
See, the way the program unfolds is based 100% on who signs up. The heart of the program is how personalised it is.
Another way of saying this is that by joining Unfold, you’re shaping the very nature of the program in a way that means you'll get the most out of it. Not someone else.
If I’m being honest, I think $1,000 would be a steal for such a tailored, customised program.
But to my surprise, Ocean set the cost at just $500. Which really is awesome value for what the program offers.
And you can even split the payment into two instalments.
But
that’s not all…
I asked Ocean if there’s anything she can do for people on this newsletter.
And she said yes.
Ocean’s agreed to an additional discount just for you guys. The first three people who sign up to Unfold using the discount code BLOOMING10 will save $50.
So the program will cost just $450 for the first three people who sign up.
And to sweeten the pie even more, I’ve added two of my own bonuses into the mix.
I’m running two special, standalone webinars for anyone who signs up for Unfold before 1pm PT/4pm ET/8pm GMT/10pm CET on Thursday 20th
July:
Webinar 1: Wisdom on Demand. This webinar will explore how you can relieve stress, make impossible decisions feel painless and move through life with more ease and flow using your own innate inner wisdom. We’ll dive into what I mean by “inner wisdom”, and how you can find it, use it and trust it
Webinar 2: Peace amid Pressure. We’ll talk about how to avoid turning events into problems and problems into catastrophes. And I’ll be
sharing my thoughts on how to stay calm and clear when life gets tough or throws you a curveball
To claim your spot on these webinars, all you need to do is forward me your
Unfold receipt by 1pm PT/4pm ET/8pm GMT/10pm CET on Thursday 20th
July.
Once you do that, I’ll sign you straight up to the bonus webinars.
But you need to email me your receipt by the deadline. After the deadline, the two bonus webinars will be gone.
So if you’re interested in Unfold, don’t hang about.
Best to hop to it.
