I watched the superhero movie “Thor: Ragnarok” for the first time last weekend.
And it was “Thort-provoking” to say the least (ha!)
(Warning: spoilers follow)
A couple of scenes caught
my eye:
In one scene we join Thor when he’s 1,499 years old (though you’d never guess it from his glowing skin, bulging biceps and glossy blond hair). And it
quickly becomes obvious that for all those 1,499 years, Thor believed that the source of his superhuman powers was his weapon:
His gigantic and mighty
hammer.
One day, Thor gets into a ruckus with Hela, the Goddess of Death, and she ends up crushing Thor’s hammer to pieces.
Oh dear!
The movie builds to its hair-raising climax where Thor
battles Hela again, but he’s struggling big time without his hammer. Until Thor’s mystical and crinkly father Odin pops up in a vision (good timing there buddy) and utters these immortal words:
“The hammer was never your source of strength”
Quite a turn-up for the books
after 1,499 years.
And what Thor discovers is that the true source of his power is simply him. He has all the power he could ever need within him. And it
doesn’t take him long to summon and spray lightning throughout the universe to defeat Hela and destroy her army.
So why do I find this interesting?
Well, it strikes me that us humans have our very own hammers. A tool we’ve been taught is the source of our strength & the best way to navigate through life.
That tool?
You could call it our brains, our intellect or our logical reasoning.
Call it whatever you want.
But what if, like Thor, this tool
isn't the real source of our power?
What if we had a superpower within us, ready and waiting? And what if this superpower was more effective, reliable and easy to use
than the brain’s pondering and deliberating could ever be?
Well, I put it to you that we do.
I talk of our own innate inner wisdom.
A wisdom which is soft, gentle and always present.
It sometimes gets crowded out by our thinking. But when we notice our wisdom is speaking to us, we just know the right thing to do.
I’m sure there are times where you didn’t consult your brain but listened to yourself instead. And simply did what felt right.
Perhaps a big decision where you trusted your gut. Or a time you realised you needed to give yourself a break. Or even a moment when you surprised yourself, made an unusual choice, and things turned out well.
This wisdom is always available. It can be used everywhere, in all parts of life.
And if you find yourself hammering away, day after day, getting yourself into a flap trying to figure things out, solve problems and make decisions, then you might be doing it wrong my friend.
You might not be using the best tool for the job.
And you might be ignoring your very own superpower.
The key
to using your wisdom?
Two steps.
First, let go of your hammer. You can’t tap into the power of your wisdom if you still rely on your intellect.
Second, get used to calling on this wisdom whenever you need or want it.
There’s one particular method I use all the time.
And I’ll
be diving into this – and much more – on a webinar I’ll be holding called Wisdom on Demand.
How to join this webinar?
It’s only available as a bonus to people who sign-up for Ocean Kiani’s Unfold program before 1pm PT/4pm ET/8pm GMT/10pm CET on Thursday 20th July.
I’ve been emailing about this program for the last couple of days.
But in case you’ve missed the details, here they are:
Ocean
Kiani’s Unfold program isn't your standard wellness or personal development program.
Instead, Unfold incorporates a range of tools like movement, improv, play and
mindfulness.
All to help you develop a sense of calm, get you out of your head and into your body, and help you go from “doing” mode to “being”
mode.
In case you're wondering how much this program costs...
When I chatted with Ocean, I thought she’d say the price would be at least $1,000.
See, the way the program unfolds is based 100% on who signs up. The heart of the program is how personalised it is.
Another way of saying this is that by joining Unfold, you’re shaping the very
nature of the program in a way that means you'll get the most out of it. Not someone else.
If I’m being honest, I think $1,000 would be a steal for such a tailored, customised program.
But to my surprise, Ocean set the cost at just $500. Which really is awesome value for what the program offers.
And you can even split the payment into two instalments if that's easier on your cash flow.
But that’s not all…
I asked Ocean if there’s anything she
can do for people on this newsletter.
And she said yes.
Ocean’s agreed to an additional discount just for you guys. The first three people who
sign up to Unfold using the discount code BLOOMING10 will save $50.
So the program will cost just $450 for the first three people who sign up.
And to sweeten the pie even more, I’ve added two of my own bonuses into the mix.
I’m running two special, standalone webinars for anyone who signs up for Unfold before 1pm PT/4pm ET/8pm GMT/10pm CET on Thursday 20th
July:
Webinar 1: Wisdom on Demand. This webinar will explore how you can relieve stress, make impossible decisions feel painless and move through life with more ease and flow using your own innate inner wisdom. We’ll dive into what I mean by “inner wisdom”, and how you can find it, use it and trust it
Webinar 2: Peace amid Pressure. We’ll talk about how to avoid turning events into problems and problems into catastrophes. And I’ll be
sharing my thoughts on how to stay calm and clear when life gets tough or throws you a curveball
To claim your spot on these webinars, all you need to do is forward me your
Unfold receipt by 1pm PT/4pm ET/8pm GMT/10pm CET on Thursday 20th
July.
Once you do that, I’ll sign you straight up to the bonus webinars.
But you need to email me your receipt by the deadline. After the deadline, the two bonus webinars will be gone.
So if you’re interested in Unfold, don’t hang about.
It's not long until I bring the hammer down on this deal.
