A few days ago, I read an interview with Roger Federer.
In the interview, Roger talked about how he kept himself going while recovering from injury and languishing in a 5-year Grand Slam drought.
And one quote is especially relevant to anyone who has lofty goals and ambitions but finds themselves in the trenches (whether that’s on the hushed and hallowed turf of Centre Court or more generally in life).
Here’s what the silky-smooth Swiss had to say:
"I kept believing and dreaming. If you keep believing, you can go really far in life".
Now maybe this is stating the bleedin’ obvious.
But from what I see (myself included – I’m certainly not above any of this), there’s a lot of people out there who have big dreams but talk themselves out of things or listen to the fuddy-duddies muttering “be happy with what you’ve got”
or “you’ve got to be realistic” and take this onboard.
And their dreams vanish in a puff of smoke.
Of course, there’s nothing wrong with being happy with what you’ve got.
But if you want, you can be happy with what you’ve got and still aim bigger.
Enter coaching.
The point of coaching isn’t to help you climb back into your box.
Instead, it’s to help you dream
bolder and brighter than ever before. To help you step outside your comfort zone and explore new possibilities. And support you in creating the career, money, relationships, health and overall life that you dream of.
Take client F.
F and I have been working together for a few months. And F texted me a couple of weeks ago to say this:
Tom, your coaching has been
crucial in helping me realise what I want from my life and has improved my life in every aspect – from work, to my social life, to dating. Plus I now have the confidence and clarity to travel and work remotely, which has always been a dream of mine.
F has a flight booked for Thailand in 3 weeks. He’s thinking of heading to Australia a few weeks later. Maybe Bali. He’ll be working as he travels and I couldn’t be happier for him.
You might have your own set of dreams which you’d love to pursue.
If so, and you’re curious about coaching, here’s the link to book a no-obligation discovery call with me:

Even if this is our only call, I know you’ll come away refreshed and raring to go. Whatever you're dreaming of.
That’s it for today.
I’ll be serving up another email
tomorrow.
