There's an old saying which goes something like this:
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
While I wouldn’t use the word “teach” to describe my coaching, the sentiment’s the same.
I actively avoid giving anyone I coach templates, tools, tactics or checklists which they can use for a day or a week or however long it takes
before that tactic outlasts its usefulness.
If indeed it was useful in the first place.
Don’t get me wrong. Some of this stuff can help if you’re looking for a quick fix or a shot in the arm. Plenty of personal
development dimfluencers out there literally tripping over themselves to sell you their latest tool, template or app.
i.e. hand you a fish.
Might be a prized tuna freshly caught off the coast of Japan.
Could be a smelly, rotting haddock which has sat in the sun too long.
Might even be a complete red herring.
But whatever the fish, it’s still a fish.
As soon as you’ve gobbled it up (if you’re brave enough), you’ll need another…
And another…
And another.
By which point you’ve got yourself a one way ticket on a never-ending merry-go-round to nowhere.
Some people spend
their whole lives on this merry-go-round, chomping fish after fish after fish, and going round & round in circles.
My suggestion if that’s you?
Stop looking for more fish. Start learning how to fish
instead.
One way to do this is through my coaching.
My coaching connects you to the infinite well of creativity, wisdom and inner direction which you were born with.
So I’m not just coaching you how to fish.
I’m showing you where to fish too.
I’m showing you the source of so many
mackerel, trout, tuna, salmon, sardines and sole that you won’t ever need to look anywhere else.
This is where you find abundance, peace, happiness and everything else you’re searching for.
And it’s a place you can always
come back to, whatever else is going on in your life.
