Can you find the missing link between these seemingly unconnected short stories?
Exhibit #1:
Richard Montañez was a janitor at Frito-Lay when he asked to present his idea for "Flamin’ Hot
Cheetos" directly to the CEO after getting inspired by a broken machine that left some Cheetos unseasoned.
His spicy & unusual request got him a meeting and the CEO loved the idea. Not only did “Flamin’ Hot Cheetos” become a super successful product, but Montañez ended up becoming a top executive at the company
Exhibit #2:
Early in her career, Oprah Winfrey was an evening news reporter in Baltimore. But this job wasn’t her jam. So she asked her boss if she could move to a morning talk show.
Despite some resistance, she persisted and was eventually given a chance. Her show, "People Are Talking”, was a huge success and paved the way for her future as a talk show superstar
Exhibit #3:
At 18, an American chap called Alex Banayan decided he wanted to learn the secrets of successful people. He cold-called and relentlessly pursued high-profile figures like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Lady Gaga, asking for interviews to uncover their stories. After countless rejections, he finally got some to agree, leading to his bestselling book The Third Door
So, have you got it?
Have you found the missing link?
It’s simply this:
These people knew what they wanted…
Then they ASKED for it.
All of which begs the question…
What would you love for your life but don’t have yet simply because you haven’t asked?
I’ve been asking myself the same question and I came up with an intriguing answer.
One thing I don’t have yet is a good handle on what YOU would love for YOUR life.
This is a gap I’d love to fill.
Not just because
I’m genuinely interested to find out more about you.
But because the more I know about what you’d love for your life, the easier it is for me to create products, services, group coaching and emails which will help you turn your dreams into reality.
I’m being open here.
But I’m not trying to hide the fact that I’m on a mission to help you live your best life, whatever that means for you. It’s why I write these emails and coach in the first place.
As JFK once said:
Ask not what your subscribers can do for you. Ask what you can do for your subscribers.
So this is me asking you, my subscribers, the question:
If you could click your fingers and change one thing in your life, what would that be?
Maybe you have a grand, lofty ambition like owning a desert island. Perhaps you have a more personal goal like getting a well-deserved
promotion at work. Or maybe you'd like to wave goodbye to a daily niggle or frustration like living with less stress or worry.
Whatever it is, hit reply and let me know.
I’d be grateful.
That’s all for today.
