A new adventure’s on the cards:
Next week, I’ve been asked to do a 50 minute slot at a team offsite about Mindset & Clarity.
When I ran my Mindset & Clarity workshops earlier this year,
I had 10 weeks of sessions to play with.
But 50 minutes is a different kettle of fish.
So I’m wondering:
How do I get the most bang for my buck in 50 mins? And if I could leave people at next week’s offsite with just one useful idea, what would that be?
When I rummage through the attic in my brain and ponder what’s made the biggest difference for me, one idea comes head & shoulders above the rest:
The more I’m in my head, the tougher work becomes.
Put another way:
The more you’re in flow, the better things
go.
(beat that, Dickinson!)
Doesn’t matter if it’s making decisions, being creative, coming up with ideas, working well with other people, getting results, handling pressure or solving challenges – in my experience,
clearing your mental chatter means an ease & flow which getting caught up in your head can never come close to.
More to dig into on the day of course.
Plenty to dig into with this email too.
Especially if you’re someone who constantly second-guesses yourself and you think you can brute force your way through this via brain acrobatics or the power of your I.Q.
I’d venture that’s not the smarty-pants move you might think it
is.
Yet it’s a move I know well myself.
Very well in fact.
And now I’m beginning to
wonder – is thinking about next week’s offsite a smart move?
And is writing an email about it a good idea too?
Gosh darn it!
Alright, that’s a wrap. I’m done for today.
