I’ve had a nagging thought at the back of my mind for a few months now:
Is it time for me to build a website?
At the moment I have a mishmash of URLs, domains and subdomains. And it’s
starting to get a bit messy.
So I think it is time to sort this out.
But here’s my challenge:
I’m working a full-time banking job 5 days a week. My alarm goes off early each morning to wake me out of my slumber and give me enough time to brew my morning coffee, fire up my laptop and settle in to write that day’s daily email before switching to my day job. I’m also working busily behind the scenes pressing the boost button on my email subscriber-base, coaching a couple of clients, hitting the gym twice or thrice a week, spending time with Lauren,
seeing friends & family and being a hungry & willing participant in various coaching programmes myself.
Plus I’m gearing up for one or two big life changes (I’m being opaque here, but I’ll write more about these soon).
So the thought which is drifting around my brain is…
How do I fit building a website into all this?
Especially when I know diddly squat about web hosting, SEO, Wordpress, HTML, Java and so
on.
I don’t even know if those are the right words!
Truth is, I know I could get good at building websites. I don’t see it any differently to developing my coaching craft, improving my writing or mastering a new
false shuffle back in the days when I used to have magic lessons.
i.e. if I put in the time and attention, I’ll figure it out.
But I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t want to learn how to build
websites.
It’s not my jar of strawberry jam.
So here’s where I’m going with this:
Do you know what you’re doing when it comes to building websites? Or do you know someone who knows what they’re doing?
If so, I’m looking to make a trade:
My coaching for your website
know-how.
This could be perfect for anyone who’d like to find more clarity about a certain situation, turn the dial down on their stress or worry, turn the dial up on their happiness, balance and flow, or simply take a dream and turn that dream into a reality.
I don’t have a specific idea about how this arrangement would work. But I’m very open to exploring with the right person.
If that might be you or someone you know, hit reply and we’ll take it from there.
Have a great weekend.
