This is something I’ve been thinking about recently.
So let’s try some stargazing.
First things first:
It’s no secret I love writing these emails.
I haven’t found anything quite like them. They’re like a tasty cocktail of creativity, expression & ideas packaged in fun & funky ways which hopefully raise a smile or even spark a new thought or perspective.
It’s also been rewarding sticking with my hunch two years ago that daily emails and I would jive.
And jive we have.
In fact, some of my emails bring such a dippy & dopey smile to my face that every now & then Lauren jolts me out of my email-induced reverie with a well-timed salvo.
Which means “Tom – you’re thinking about your emails again!” is a common cry in Casa Grundy.
But that’s not all.
The further down the daily email avenue I go, the more ideas, directions & possibilities which appear.
Not just for
emails. But also for coaching, collaborations, more writing and potential new products & services. And I see daily emails as the golden cord and thus mainstay which tie all these together.
With all that being said:
If these emails stopped being a source of fulfilment, I’d have no issue hanging up my quill.
And let’s be honest – this is a very real possibility.
Our inclinations and motivations can
change.
In fact, I expect them to change in the next few years. It would be strange if they didn’t.
And sticking with these daily emails for the next five years because of how I feel about these emails today
would be a mistake.
I’m clear on that.
What’s most important is how I feel about these emails tomorrow, next month, next year and beyond. Not how I feel about them today.
So while I do think it’s more likely than not I’ll still be writing daily emails in 5 years, it’s not a slam dunk.
Let’s say 66% or so.
In any case, if I'm still merrily punching my keys 5 years from now, I’m sure I’ll have a hot take on this very prediction. So keep your eyes peeled on the 31st July 2029 when I dig this email out of the archives.
Sounds eons away, doesn’t it?
But I bet I’ll be surprised at just how quickly the 31st July 2029 comes around.
The last 2 years of daily emails have whizzed by in a flash and the older I get, the quicker time seems to go.
A useful reminder in & of itself to not hang about when it comes to cracking on with things.
On which note:
If there are fun & funky plans, passions
or projects you’d love to bring to life, have a shifty at this:

That’s all for today
