I’ve just discovered a fascinating book with an outrageously intriguing and mysterious title:
The Secret Oral Teachings in Tibetan Buddhist Sects
The book explores a method of enlightenment called The Middle Way School of Buddhism.
One part caught my eye on page 15:
***
Based on the advice given by the Buddha to his disciples, the primary recommendation that the Masters give to neophytes is:
“Doubt!”
***
In rather flowery language, the book goes on to say that doubt fuels looking closer, that looking closer leads to seeing more, and that seeing more leads to becoming wise.
To which I
say:
No doubt about it!
Doubt is a gateway to insight and transformation. And if happiness, fulfilment or even enlightenment are your dream destination, doubt is your ticket to travel.
I don’t mean trivial doubts like if pineapple belongs on pizza.
I mean big-time doubts.
For
instance:
*** Doubt your thoughts
*** Doubt the role of certainty
*** Doubt what
your mind is telling you
*** Doubt where happiness comes from
*** Doubt your own beliefs & assumptions
*** Doubt how your mind interprets reality
*** Doubt your fixed ideas about good & bad
These are the sorts of doubts we’ll be exploring in Subtraction Method Mastery, my new group coaching
programme.
Over the last few days, I’ve written about how the programme will help you find greater clarity.
I’ve talked about how it will help you make the most of your time so you can write your newsletter, build
your business, hit your goals or make the changes you want to make.
I’ve also mentioned how the programme can equip you to handle your worries & fears and help you move forward with more enthusiasm, energy and motivation.
Perhaps you’ve read a couple of these emails and you’re intrigued.
Perhaps you would like more clarity, time and fulfilment in your life.
But maybe you’re still on the
fence. Maybe you have some doubts about whether Subtraction Method Mastery is right for you.
Good thing too.
If you do, hit reply and share your doubts with me. I’ll answer them honestly and help you figure out
if Subtraction Method Mastery is a fit.
But don't hang about.
I'm closing the cart for Subtraction Method Mastery at 11am PST / 2pm EST / 7pm GMT on Tuesday 12th November.
