In 8 hours, I’m closing the cart for my new group coaching programme Subtraction Method Mastery.
More on that in a second.
First, a short thought experiment.
I heard this a couple of months ago at a conference on the mean streets of London Town. It goes a long way to explain why happiness and fulfilment always seem just out of reach.
Here it is:
Imagine you’re floating in the sea.
Easy to imagine right? After all, the human body is about 66% water. So floating comes naturally.
You could say we’re made to float.
But let’s say you don’t realise you’re made to float or that you’ve forgotten you’re made to float.
Or say a thought appears which says “I’m sinking”.
And even though you’re floating, your mind insists otherwise and you decide to take that thought seriously.
What would you do?
Perhaps you adjust your body to see if that helps. Maybe you arch your back slightly or
spread your arms wider.
But my guess is this:
The more you adjust and move around, the less stable you become. You might even start to sink.
And the more you sink, the harder you try to fix this.
So you double down. Your arms start flapping as you thrash around in the sea. A splash hits your face and you can taste the sharp, salty water on your tongue.
Soon, panic sets in.
Before you know it, you’re caught in a cycle where the harder you try to float, the faster you sink.
All because you’ve lost
sight of the fact that floating is your default.
Now here’s the kicker:
What’s true of floating is also true of happiness, fulfilment and joy.
These are our natural states too.
Sure, we might not realise it. And our thoughts can convince us there’s something to do to try to find these.
But it’s that very act of doing that gets in the way.
If you’d like to get more in touch with your happiness & fulfilment, my recommendation is Subtraction Method Mastery.
At the core of the
programme is this question:
How do we subtract the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, assumptions and stories which block the happiness and fulfilment which are already there, waiting to shine through?
I’ve created a short doc
which contains all the programme details (what we’ll be doing, how it will work, what the timings are etc).
If you’d like a copy, hit reply, tell me a little bit about your situation & why you’re interested and I’ll shoot the doc straight over.
The deadline to sign up for Subtraction Method Mastery is 11am PST / 2pm EST / 7pm GMT on Tuesday 12th November.
That’s 8 hours from now.
Sure, time is tight. And this is the
last email I’ll be sending to promote Subtraction Method Mastery.
But time hasn’t run out just yet.
Hit reply and I’ll shoot the doc straight over.
