I’m cranking out more writing than ever.
A few weeks ago, Paul Millerd published my Back to Work guest post. Next week, my latest New Escapologist column hits the shelves. I’m also in the thick of writing another guest post for a mad Romanian consultancy owner, creating a brand new product and writing these daily
emails.
Plus I’ve just finished a new covert report called Easy Breezy Writer (more on that below).
Funny thing is, writing was never my jam.
When I started writing daily emails, it was like drawing blood from a stone.
But nowadays I can get myself into a solid groove where I sit at my laptop and start writing, and I just keep writing until Lauren grabs me playfully round the waist and tries to haul me away from my screen like
the World’s Strongest Man dragging a Jeep loaded with concrete blocks.
i.e. inch by inch while I cling on for dear life.
In fact, writing has become such a big part of my daily routine that I can’t read a magazine, listen
to a podcast or even overhear two chums nattering in my local coffee shop without getting some ideas.
I know I’ll be sharpening my quill the next morning and I’ll need one of those ideas. I’ll need a theme or a spark. Otherwise I won’t have an email that day.
This is one of the reasons that going back to my old job has been such a blessing. I get a constant stream of relevant, real-life and illustrative ideas to write about.
My Paul Millerd Back to Work guest post is the perfect example of this.
So is the special report I created for readers of that post called 17 Ways to Find Fun And Flow At Work
(more writing!)
This report was inspired by my “before and after” job experiences and gives 17 proven, practical and in-the-field tips which anyone can use to find more fun and flow at work.
It seems to have hit the mark too.
A reader of the report dropped me a message recently which said:
I was blown away by a sentence in your guide about how much store we set by our thoughts being what dictates our mood
(I
asked the reader which bit he had in mind. If you’ve got the report, check out page 33 and the part which begins “So could it be…”)
Comments like these are why I’ve been flirting with the idea of turning the report into a short book and sticking it on Amazon for a few of the King’s finest English shekels. And it all started by keeping my eyes open
and drinking in what’s going on around me.
Could this book be the next personal development bestseller?
Who knows.
What I do know is that, at the moment, the report is still available for free at the bottom of my Paul Millerd guest post for everyone to get their greedy mitts on.
If you know a few people who might like to snag this report, I have an offer you might like.
Here are the details in case you missed my emails from the last couple of days:
I’m on a secret mission. I want stressed-out bankers, lawyers, marketers and other professionals to know that it’s 100% possible to find a more relaxed, easy-going approach to work without changing
career or quitting their job.
Not only that, but I’m recruiting a few secret agents to join me. And I’ve prepared some off-the-record assets for those who step up.
To join me on my mission, I’d like you to share my
Paul Millerd guest post with an audience interested in topics like careers, stress and finding more balance at work.
Here’s the post:
https://newsletter.pathlesspath.com/p/quitting-and-returning-to-work-guest
That could mean posting a link on your social media feed or in a group you’re part of. If you
use an internal messaging board in your job, you could post a link there. Or it could mean emailing or DM’ing the guest post to someone who has their own audience of relevant people.
Once you’ve done that, forward me a screenshot of your post, email or DM.
In return, you can choose one of the following exclusive and off-the-record assets for free:
*** A half hour laser coaching session with me on Zoom. This session has genuine, real-world value (I charge £500 for a package of 3 one hour sessions). Laser coaching is perfect if you want more clarity, you’re facing a
tricky decision or you’d like to find more calm or peace of mind. To be clear – this is not a consulting call. I won’t be doling out advice. Instead, I’ll help you find the answers that are already inside you
*** A half hour “Rookie Recon” Zoom session. This is perfect if you’re thinking of becoming a coach or starting a
newsletter and you’d like to pick my brains. Two and half years ago I was thinking the same thing and now I’m on the journey. Do I have a newsletter of 100,000 people? Nope. Have I been coaching for the last 30 years? No I haven’t. But I’d argue this is why asking me your questions is 10x more useful than chatting to someone who’s long forgotten what it’s like to be starting out
*** I’ll send you a brand new report I’ve created called Easy Breezy Writer. In this short pdf I reveal 5 mindset “hacks” I’ve picked up from 5 of the world’s leading experts on writing. These hacks have changed the way I approach my writing and explain how I’ve written a chirpy daily email almost every weekday for two and a half years. If you’re a copywriter, newsletter writer or 9-to-5-er and you
find writing more painful than pulling teeth, Easy Breezy Writer will show you how to write with less pressure and more ease
One other thing:
This secret mission will self-destruct at midday UK time on Thursday
28th November.
That’s about 24 hours from now.
Forward me a screenshot of your post or email before then and let me know which off-the-record asset you’d like.
If you send me your screenshot after midday UK time on 28th Nov, it’s too late.
The mission will’ve been terminated.
Here’s that link once more to the post I’d like you to share:

That’s your mission, should you choose to accept it.
