I’ve written before about my team mate, partner in crime and “work wife” Emma.
Well, I’ve got some sad news.
When I came into the office a few days ago, still gathering my wits and trying to dry
my rain-swept hair with a spare T-shirt, I made a startling discovery:
Emma’s moving to a new team!
That’s right. Me and my work wife are getting a divorce.
I’m going to miss our afternoon strolls to Pret, singing in the office when no-one else is around and Emma ripping the piss out of me for the fact I used to play the French Horn.
At least the separation’s been friendly. We’ve agreed that Emma will keep the staplers and I’ll get the
paperclips.
Emma – we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve bantered and we’ve even done some work too.
But I guess all good things must come to an end.
Anyway, there’s a silver lining to all this.
With me and Emma getting a divorce, I have a vacancy now for a new work wife. So I’m on the lookout and I’ll be grabbing a few coffees with potential spreadsheet soulmates soon.
Actually, this isn’t the only vacancy I have at the moment.
I also have a couple of vacancies for coachees.
If there’s a challenge you’d like to
overcome, a goal or dream you’d like to bring to life or if you’d simply like to live with greater clarity and peace of mind, then my coaching is made for you.
