It’s almost like Frosty was made for life lessons.
For instance:
*** At any moment, Frosty could lose his head, be knocked over by a wayward snowball or even melt away entirely. But he can
just as easily come back to life, brand-spanking-new and raring to go. Frosty’s potential to start again, completely untouched by the past, never ends.
So too us.
We all have the potential to do and be
whatever we want in any moment, regardless of what has come before.
*** Sure, Frosty might look a little bit……uh, frosty on the surface (he’s made of snow, after all). But beneath that frosty exterior, crumpled scarf and dirty old carrot-nose is a heart of gold. Frosty radiates warmth & kindness, love & compassion, enthusiasm & joy from
his core.
Not what you might expect from such a frosty looking character. But how things look on the surface has nothing to do with who we are deep down inside.
*** Altogether now: “Oh Frosty the Snowman,
knew the sun was hot that day, so he said let’s run, and we’ll have some fun, now before I melt away”.
Frosty is clearly a believer in the power of now. He doesn’t worry about what could happen or what hasn’t happened yet. Instead, he lives in the moment. He knows that the moment is the only place any of us can ever
live.
*** One more time: “Oh Frosty the Snowman, was alive as he could be...”
Frosty brings a full-on aliveness with him wherever he goes and whatever he does – from dancing, to running into the village
for a game of catch, to japing around with the local cop.
Frosty understands that aliveness is the path AND the destination when it comes to living a thriving and fulfilling life.
So Frosty really is a walking,
talking (singing?) endorsement for coaching.
Anyway, I’ve got Frosty the Snowman lodged in my head now.
So I’m going to take my mind off Frosty and his wintry wisdom by wrapping up this email and unwrapping some
presents.
Have a great Christmas Day.
