As this email pings into inboxes across the globe, I’ll be in the midst of session 1 of another 10 week run of my Mindset & Clarity workshops at work.
97 of my banking colleagues have signed up for these bad boys and I’m stoked to get going.
Thing is, even though I ran 27 of these workshops last year, I have no idea what will come up today.
I mean – there’s always a theme to each session.
But by the time the participants have finished a cheeky exercise and I’ve opened it up to the floor, the workshop really could go in any direction.
And this is what I’ve come to love.
There’s something about the energy created in and of that moment which gets me buzzing. It feels like I’m tapped into a hum which only shows up when I show up as well.
So I’m excited for the next 10 weeks.
And I’m particularly excited to see what insights pop up.
If I’ve done my job correctly, one idea which a few of the eager participants might come away with is how mindset and clarity wipes the floor with hard work.
This probably isn’t a mantra I want to be singing from the corporate rooftops when the banking powers-that-be are cracking the workplace whip.
(although a few of these powers-that-be will be in the workshops, so we’ll see how that goes)
But when anyone gets clear on what really matters and approaches work from a place of ease instead of stress and strain, they can’t help but tap into a natural productivity which no amount of grinding and forcing will EVER replicate.
There’s something magical about watching a colleague’s
face light up when they realise they’ve been making work harder than they need to be. It happened a few times in the workshops last year and it never gets old.
It's like the difference between swimming against the current vs letting the river carry you.
The more I look in this direction, the more I've come to see how we’re all being carried all the time.
So it's not just applicable for bankers. It's applicable for everyone.
Speaking of which:
If you'd like to bring these sorts of lightbulb moments into your workplace or community via one or more of my workshops, hit reply and let’s start a conversation.
I look
forward to hearing from you.
