A couple of weeks ago, I sent up a flare for beta-readers for my new book.
I was pleasantly surprised by how many readers put up their hand and even more pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful and thorough feedback which came my way.
That’s the context for an email that rolled in a couple of days ago from a beta-reader:
(I’ll keep him anonymous – not sure he wants me naming him)

Absolute shower thought I had this morning - as a freebie bribe to sign up...
I've always been intrigued by - the coaches you follow, the blogs you read, the podcasts you listen to and the youtube channels you watch that inform your coaching practice.
I would 100% sign up to get access to some sort of curated playlist of Tom's best mag-pied content!

First off:
Who doesn’t love a good shower thought?
Second off:
What an awesome suggestion!
I’m making no secret of the fact that I hope book readers will also sign up to my emails.
Truth be told, I’m actively trying to encourage it.
And tips like this are PERFECT for
that.
There’s no denying these emails and my coaching have been influenced, shaped & moulded by a honking great heap of podcasts, books, blogs, forums, newsletters, newspapers, magazines, YouTube channels and so on & so forth.
Some of these treasure troves I'm surprised aren't better known.
I can’t even remember how I found them now. But find them I did. And they’re the goldmines I go back to again and again to keep my curiosity well fed, nudge myself out of my well-worn grooves and spark my writing & coaching.
Actually, it’s not just the sources of information which have been so valuable to me.
It’s the people behind them too.
Over the last three years, I’ve got to know and trust a motley crew of coaches, writers, authors and marketers who aren’t just experts in their fields, but folk I’d have no hesitation endorsing.
And endorse them I will.
All of which is a roundabout way of saying:
I will absolutely be creating this bonus as part of my upcoming book launch.
So if that tickles your fancy, watch this space.
Wait – what’s that? You can’t wait until then?
Okay my eager beaver.
Here’s a tip of the hat
straight from the front line:
One of my favourite podcasts at the moment is the curiously titled Buddha at the Gas Pump (or Batgap for short)
Batgap is a series of interviews with everyday folk who are in various stages of
spiritual awakening.
The podcast delves into topics like Indian mystics, psychedelics, near death experiences and lucid dreaming, with a fair smattering of Buddhist, Zen, Sufi and nondual perspectives thrown in for good measure.
There’s just the 726 episodes to listen to.
If you’re intrigued by the sound of the podcast and you’d like an episode or two to get started with, hit reply and I’ll happily provide some recommendations.
