In the next week or three, I’ll be launching my new coaching program.
I won’t spill the beans about this program right now. Suffice to say, it’s a fresh twist on the previous programs
I’ve offered and I can't wait to get started.
The only fly in the ointment?
I need to write a sales letter. And honestly, I’d rather not.
As I get closer to the grand old age of 40, I want to spend more of my time on what I love and less time on what I don’t.
In the past, I’ve certainly been guilty of grinding it out, eating my vegetables and playing the long game on the basis that I can put my feet up in the future and bask
in the rewards.
But I’ve come to see that’s not how life works.
I’ve always liked the Annie Dillard quote “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives”. And though Annie didn’t say it, how we spend our
hours is clearly how we spend our days, and how we spend our minutes is how we spend our hours.
So the minutes count.
Thing is, I love these daily emails. That’s why I write them.
I love coaching too. That’s why I coach.
But sales letters? Not so much.
However, I know I have a fair few
copywriters reading these daily musings.
Maybe you’re a copywriter?
If you’ve been a subscriber for at least a month or two, you enjoy my emails and you’ve got experience writing sales pages, perhaps there’s a deal
to be struck.
In fact, there might be more than one deal.
I was so happy with the job my copyeditor Kathy did on my book Don’t Quit Your Job (still inching closer towards its release date) that she’s already
sharpening her big red pen to go to town on the draft of my next book.
I can see something similar for my sales pages too.
Just so long as you’re not reading this thinking “I’ll just use a few ChatGPT prompts and
Tom will be none the wiser, tee hee hee”.
That’s not what I’m after at all.
My emails, my workshops, my 1 on 1 coaching and my coaching programs are all very human.
Thus the sales page needs to be written by a walking, talking, breathing human too.
Anyway, I’ve warbled enough.
If a sales page
or two sounds like your kind of thing, hit reply, let me know and we’ll take it from there.
Thank you.
