I need your help!
Hot off the heels of my recent interviews with Rob Wringham, Paul Millerd and Khe Hy, my next interview is speeding into view.
And this one will be a cracker.
I’m STOKED to have snagged an interview with Jenny Wood.
Jenny is a former Harvard Business School researcher and ex-Google Exec whose new book Wild Courage has just become a New York Times bestseller.
Jenny also founded a program called Own Your Career at Google which helped tens of thousands of employees land their next Google roles.
Jenny is a pilot too.
Put all that together and it's clear Jenny's a high flyer (ahem).
Thing is, Jenny’s mission (helping people find happiness at work) is very similar to mine.
But Wild Courage comes at it in a very unusual way.
The book asks the question:
What if the key to career success is unleashing 9 traits (like being weird, bossy, nosy, selfish, reckless,
shameless...) which are the complete opposite to the traits we’re typically told we should be trotting out?
Intriguing stuff.
And you can bet your bottom boarding pass I’ll be taking a leaf straight from the Jenny
Wood flight plan by shamelessly asking her nosy and selfish questions like “how did you publish your bestselling book?” and “how did you launch a company-wide program and make it a success?”
Perfect timing as well.
My new book is almost ready to ship to my copyeditor and now’s the time to see if I can spread my Mindset & Clarity workshops far & wide throughout my holy employer, Lloyds Bank.
Anyway, as selfish as these questions might be, I want to make sure the interview is as interesting as possible for you too.
Which brings me to this:
What would you like me to ask Jenny?
The weirder, nosier or more
shameless the question – the better!
If you’d like to submit a question or two for me to pass on to Jenny, just hit reply.
Get your question(s) to me by 5pm UK time on Tuesday (just under 28 hours from now) and, if I like
your question, I’ll fire it on to Jenny.
