I’ve got a couple of recommendations for you today.
Plus a proper tip of the hat to a good friend and all round top geezer:
Michael Imas.
I met Michael three years ago on a coaching mentoring call hosted by another Michael, the American “supercoach” Michael Neill.
I was put into a small group with Imas where he gave me “hot-seat style” coaching on one of my stickiest, most dangerous, most toxic addictions:
Buying books off Amazon.
Fast forward a few
months and I rocked up to the first day of Michael Neill’s 7 month Genius Catalyst program just down the road from my old Chez Grundy pad.
I walked into reception and whose smooth, deep, dulcet German tones did I hear, booming out from behind a tray of pastries?
That’s right. Michael Imas again.
Actually, funny story about Imas and Genius Catalyst:
A few months later, Lozzadog Lauren and I were boarding a flight from
Zurich to London Town when who did I clock at the gate opposite us, waiting to jet off to Los Angeles?
You guessed it. That man Imas.
He was flying out early to the third leg of Genius Catalyst and we crossed paths in
Zurich (of all places), a few days before I jetted out to LA myself.
You’d think random run-ins like these would be once in a blue moon.
But they haven’t slowed down.
If anything, they’ve taken on a life of their own.
Whenever I log into Facebook or YouTube nowadays, guess whose glorious mane and magnificently distinguished beard is staring back at me?
Bloody Imas. I just can’t shake the guy!
But this time it’s not IRL Imas. Instead, it’s the algorithms serving up short clips from his mind-bending podcast, Beyond Skepticism.
I shouldn’t be surprised. One of Michael’s recent podcast episodes went viral and clocked up over one million views.
Not that I’m complaining about Imas popping into my feed.
Truth is, I
can’t recommend his podcast enough.
In each episode, Michael interviews bright sparks like clinical psychologist Dr Dicken Bettinger, international speaker and coach Marina Galan and the “supercoach” himself, Michael Neill. If you’re interested in deep, thoughtful and unusual perspectives on what makes humans tick, the podcast comes with my highest
recommendation. Just search for “Beyond Skepticism” on your favourite podcast platform if you'd like to take a look.
But wait. The Imas train keeps on rolling!
As if a viral podcast wasn’t epic enough, Imas has started a
newsletter about the same sorts of topics.
If that tickles your fancy, here’s the link:
https://michaelimas.substack.com/
Just hit the “subscribe” button top right of the page.
The newsletter is free. But there are a couple of paid
options too. And if you sign up to the newsletter as a paid subscriber by this Thursday 6th November, you’ll also get access to a special series of four webinars Michael is running with Marina Galan which explore the deeper nature of freedom, forgiveness and letting go.
This webinar series is called “Freeing Yourself” and runs each Thursday in
November at 6pm CET / 5pm GMT / 12pm EST / 9am PST.
To be clear:
Imas’s newsletter is free and you’re welcome to sign up as a free subscriber.
But if you sign up as a paid subscriber by this Thursday, you’ll also get access to the four “Freeing Yourself” webinars (once you subscribe, all the details will be emailed across to you).
Bottom line:
If you’re interested in human nature and the mysteries of the mind, Michael’s world is a world well worth jumping into.
Just beware.
Once you dive into The
World Of Imas, you won’t be able to shake him either.
To fulfilment,
Tom
