It’s almost like Frosty was made for pithy life lessons.
For instance:
*** At any moment, Frosty could lose his head, be knocked over by a wayward snowball or even melt away entirely. But
he can just as easily come back to life, brand-spanking-new and raring to go. Frosty’s potential to start again, completely untouched by the past, never ends.
Same with us. We all have the potential to do and be whatever we want in any moment, regardless of what has come before.
*** Sure, Frosty might look a little bit……uh, frosty on the surface (he’s made of snow, after all). But beneath his frosty exterior, crumpled scarf and dirty old carrot-nose is a heart of gold. Frosty radiates warmth & kindness, love & compassion, enthusiasm & joy from his core.
Not what you might expect from such a frosty looking character. But when you look beneath the surface, there's always more to see.
*** Altogether now: “Oh Frosty the Snowman, knew the sun was hot that day, so he said let’s run, and we’ll have some fun, now before I melt away”.
Frosty is clearly a believer in the power of now. He doesn’t worry about what could happen or what hasn’t happened yet. Instead, he lives in the moment. He knows that the moment is the only place any of us can ever live.
*** One more
time: “Oh Frosty the Snowman, was alive as he could be...”
Frosty brings a full-on aliveness with him wherever he goes and whatever he does - from dancing, to running into the village for a game of catch, to japing around with the local cop.
Frosty understands that aliveness is the path AND the destination when it comes to living a thriving and fulfilling life.
So I daresay we could all learn a little something from Frosty.
In fact, I'm going to take a snowy leaf out of Frosty's book myself. If Frosty can melt away entirely then come back refreshed and raring to go, I reckon I can take a few days off from my newsletter.
So that's the plan for next week or so.
I'll be back with more daily emails before you can say "Frosty the Snowman".
Whatever you're up to, I hope you have a wonderful festive period.
To
fulfilment,
Tom
