Have I told you about my secret weapon? The ace up my sleeve?
I don’t think I have, so today I’m spilling the beans.
I’m talking, of course, about my eye-mask collection.
Yes, you might scoff.
But these soft and soothing face covers have been absolute life savers. I struggle to count on even one hand the number of times I’ve fallen asleep WITHOUT my eye-mask resting gently over my droopy
eyelids. Doesn’t matter if I’m in a hammock on a deserted Panamanian beach or snuggled up in Fort Grundy’s four poster bed - they're always working their magic.
They cost about £25 a pop on Amazon.
I guess
that’s pricey for a few bits of material stuck together with superglue.
Yet the Mindfold (that’s the brand name) could be my most “value for money” purchase ever.
That £25 covers 8 hours of sleeping time, night
after night, week after week, ad infinitum. And, along with my trusty ear plugs (which I’ll save for a future email), they’ve levelled up my sleep more than duck feather duvets, lavender pillow spray and Matthew McConaughey’s bedtime stories ever could.
Unless Baby Grundy stages a wiggle festival at 4am, I wake up most mornings rested, energised and
raring to go.
And the Mindfold is the reason why.
Which brings me to this:
Do
you want to play a game? A game about purchases that paid off and purchases that didn’t?
Here's how we play:
1. Think for a moment
What's the most you've ever spent on a single book, course or coaching that got you equivalent or greater value?
And conversely...
What's the most
you've ever spent on a single book, course or coaching that got you zero value?
2. When you have your answers to these two questions, hit reply and let me know
(By the way, no judgment on how much money you've spent
on something and got zero value. Odds are, I've beaten you)
3. Once I have your answers, I’ll reply to you personally with the priciest book, course or coaching that got me the most value and the priciest that got me the least.
One purchase was totally transformative and the other was a complete flop. But that's how it goes sometimes.
So do we have a deal?
Take a moment to think, then write in and let me
know.
You might learn something about yourself. You might learn something about me. You might even learn something about decision making, clarity and intuition.
I look forward to hearing from you.
To fulfilment,
Tom
