This week, I’m promoting Dr Giles P Croft’s Video Relationships Masterclass.
One of the questions which Dr Giles tackles in the masterclass is this:
My thinking regularly tells me my
relationship is not right. How does one know if that’s insecurity or wisdom?
It’s a great question.
In fact, it reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend a few months ago while out for my six-monthly jog around
the highways and byways of East London.
We weren’t chatting about relationships per se, but we were chatting about a very similar idea.
Namely:
How do you know if you want something or if you just think you want something?
Truth be told, this type of question has been the bane of my life. If I had a penny for every time I wrestled with head-scratchers like “do I really want to quit my job or do I just think I do”, I’d be
richer than one of Nigella’s chocolate tarts.
But once you get clear on questions like these, life starts to fall into place. Decisions feel less like guesswork and more like following a compass.
So back to the original
question and how to know if a relationship truly isn’t right or if we just think it isn’t right.
What was Dr Giles’s answer?
Well, Giles doesn’t suggest drawing up a pros and cons list, creating a
Whatsapp poll or consulting your horoscope.
He doesn’t even suggest asking ChatGPT!
If you’d like to hear the answer Dr Giles DID give (an answer which honestly surprised me), you can find it in Giles’s Relationship
Masterclass, right at the 52 minute mark.
I’m promoting this product as part of a wider bundle which Giles has put together only for readers of this newsletter.
All the details are here
But Jack be nimble, Jill be quick. The deadline is just 12 hours away.
To fulfilment,
Tom
